About us

Music Hyperspace didn’t come from nowhere. It simply exists,
but not everyone realise it…

What exactly is hyperspace? In science fiction, it is an alternative space in universe, where it’s possible to travel at the speed greater than speed of light in a vacuum, in physics – the multidimensional spacetime, in mathematics – the family of all non-empty (compact) subsets of a given space [If you don’t understand, don’t worry. We also don’t understand everything – ed. note].

Why Hyperspace? Because the world of music has more than three dimensions – not just compositions and lyrics, which flow in time. The compositions themselves have two dimensions in musical notation that may be treated as particular coordinate system. The sounds also have two properties – frequency and duration, but they reverberate in three-dimensional space and change in time. The lyrics can have many meanings and can be translated into various languages. In turn, the same songs can be recorded by various artists in various versions. Simple, isn’t it?

Where did Hyperspace come from? It appeared in multi-dimesional network space as result of experiences, which editors gathered during work for various editorial offices…

And seriously – Music Hyperspace is a website that was created from a genuine passion for music. All editorial members are evidently and undeniably addicted to it. Music Hyperspace is a team of independent editors working under common sign, although some of them have already opportunity to collaborate with others. We don’t restrict elements of our space and we don’t focus on only chosen music genres. We don’t value a priori, we don’t make divide between better and worse subspaces. As a moment of creating a new infinite dimensional space containing various subspaces, both journalistic and photographic, as well as music, we admit* “cold” May 2017. From May 18, 2018 Music Hyperspace was registered as PRESS TITLE in The National Register of Magazines and Journals with No. 1624 by decision of District Court in Lodz, Poland.

As a whole team we didn’t and we aren’t related** to any printed magazine, any radio station or any radio broadcast. And what is most important for us? We don’t allow any interference in our texts***… It’s reatively easy for us, because we operate non-profit.

From the beginning, our main goal is to present music in different ways: using photos, reporting and promoting concerts, reviewing albums and music books, by interviews with musicians, translations of lyrics and various other paramusic texts…

Therefore, we are open on media patronage or other support of various events (concerts, festivals, cyclical events) and interesting music initiatives.

*) It is easy to check that the site also contains archival photos and texts, which were published by our editors somewhere else as well;
**) Some people collaborate with various other media, but this does not apply to the team as a whole;
***) In fact, it only concerns in texts, but sometimes it’s different with photos. Not one performer (both Polish and foreign) requests authorization of photos. Among the published photoreports we have several such cases…
